Neon Wedding Inspiration; Expert Styled Shoot

If you are looking for some fun, unique wedding inspiration? A fantastic team of Devon & Cornish suppliers, mainly from the North Devon Wedding Network came together to create a romantic, yet cool, rock & roll chic style to give you inspiration for your wedding.

VENUE - An Mor Hotel
A real hidden gem in the Cornish Seaside town of Bude. Unique and quirky, with its very own gin bar. With the Atlantic Ocean as the back drop to your wedding day its a great place for a funky wedding. 
The hotel decor having retro themed wall dressings and eclectic features set the ideal backdrop for this neon themed wedding.

HAIR, MAKE UP & ACCESSORIES - Makeup Artistry by Samantha Short, Kylee Marie Hair & Hey Jules!
Samantha chose to use pinks and purples in the eye shadow colour and a dark red lipstick for a bold look, working well with the brides red hair. Kylee used hair styles to show off the hair accessories with a few different looks through out the day. 
Hey Jules! created the bridal accessories which give a nod to that rock chick look, whilst still remaining ‘bridal’. The dark leaf hair comb gave the perfect backdrop to sparkling Swarovski set crystals, small ivory pearls and a few deep pink crystals to add that neon glow. The positioning of the comb complements the hairstyle and bridal make up. The cuff was designed to echo the organic leaf patterns in the dress and bring out those deeper colours that tie the jacket, headpiece and shoes altogether, again with that touch of pink to make it pop.

FLOWERS - Petal & Posie
The bouquet and venue flowers were a mix of beautiful shocking pink and dark red roses, bright pink Calla lilies, purple Clematis and dark red Gemini. This incorporated the look in to the bridal bouquet and table flowers effortlessly. 

VENUE STYLING - Do Me A Favour & By Jacqueline J
Vicky and Jacqueline used iridescent fabrics to offset exciting walls and neon lighting to set the mood. The colourful palette of props, historical photos and paintings around the hotel were the perfect backdrop for this wedding. The combination of modern and imaginative decor was inspirational in the choice of props and styling used. By using neon lightening, crystals and pink charger plates, candles and holders for the finishing touches.  

STATIONERY - Clare's Wedding Creations
Clare opted for a classic shape to the stationery to compliment the mirror that displayed the table plan. The shape was then used to create the place settings and the colours chosen complimented the neon pinks and purples bringing everything together. The mirror table plan had a neon back light. 

CATERING- Jax's Cakes 'N' Bakes
For the catering Jax was inspired by the gin bar. A gin inspired high tea, seemed the perfect wedding breakfast. From gin and tonic scones, gin cupcakes, chocolate eclairs, gin mousse shots, macaroons with chocolate ganache or gin buttercream, chocolate-coated strawberries and open sandwiches. This tasty gin inspired afternoon tea will have your guests mouth watering. 

WEDDING CAKE- Claires Sweet Temptations
Claire was inspired by the colours and vibe of An Mor when making the wedding cake. A mix of edible watercolour painting using vibrant colours for the bottom tier and blended colours for the top. Finishing the wedding cake off with fish net edible lace and classic handmade sugar flowers. 

WEDDING DRESS & OUTFIT- Always & Forever Bridal & Sammy Lea's Retro Emporium 
The first dress worn by the model, "Cassandra", takes sophisticated glam to a whole new level. The extravagantly beaded bodice paves the way to perfection! This long sleeve ballgown by Casablanca Bridal is a bona fide show-stopper, the dramatically sleek satin skirt reflecting light and cascading effortlessly from the natural waistline. This jaw-dropping gown provides a removable lining option, for the most opulent and versatile wedding day look. 
The second gown has glittering rhinestones that create lines throughout. "Bria" from the belt at the waist, to the V-shaped linings of the front, back and underarm panels of the bodice and lace applique's sprinkle across the hemline of the dreamy soft tulle skirt, matching the lace on the fully lined front and illusion back of the bodice, again by Casablanca Bridal.
The leather jacket by Sammy Lea's Retro Emporium was inspired by the current neon lights trend. It's groundbreaking in the UK as no other UK based supplier is yet offering jackets that are both lit and hand painted at the time of the shoot. Perfect for when the evening chill sets in and a reminded of your wedding day for years to come.
